Mitchum antiperspirant/deodorant and Brett Ratner Brands, director Brett Ratner’s creative content company, are looking for some talented filmmakers to make a 2 minute film on the hardest working person they know. The contest is designed to find, highlight and reward the hardest working man or woman in the country based on video submissions to the campaign’s site, www.mitchumhardestworking.com <http://www.mitchumhardestworking.com> , and we want to see your nominee. Internships at Saddleback-Video/Film, Graphic/Print Design, Social Media and more

The internship program is something we’re staring for college aged students to get experience in a number of fields while being mentored by some of Saddleback’s staff. We have two groups for the internship: the specialties track and the leadership track. The specialties track is where students will be placed in a specific field to work on tasks for the church. Our opportunities for the specialties track are video/film, graphic/print design, social media, editorial/writing, web design, marketing, and journalism/public relations. The leadership track gives students projects, assignments, and opportunities to help develop programs. You will be working as a leader to complete tasks on more of a broad array of topics. Both internships are flexible but suggest a 20 to 30 hour week. You do not need any specific qualification but must be willing to commit to and be flexible with the internship. WorldNomads.com is offering the perfect opportunity for your students to try their hand at documentary filmmaking. In conjunction with Nat Geo Adventure, Gap Adventures and Hostelworld, we are offering the chance to go on assignment with noted producer Trent O’Donnell to Ecuador to produce a documentary that will be considered for broadcast on the Nat Geo Adventure channel.

The winner of the scholarship will be flown to Ecuador from their country of residence. They will join their mentor and team from Gap Adventures to explore the Amazonian jungle and homestay with the Quichua community. The winner’s mission is to document how sustainable tourism has impacted the small indigenous community.

Applicants for the scholarship must compile a 3 minute (or less) video documentary in English based around the theme ‘Local Encounters’.

This is a full-time position that requires to watch shows, tags and movies prior to air for quality control and compliance to TBN standards. Submit written reports and enter information into Traffic system as required. College preferred, good verbal skills, neat handwriting, common sense, detailed, organized, general knowledge of Bible themes and stories.

Prayer Partner:

Part-time position includes 30 hours a week, with 6 hour shifts. Must be born again Christian, active in church for at least one year. Requirements: Speak, read and write English fluently, Keyboard proficiency, 30 wpm, Heave phones (incoming only).

“Communications Internship Program” is looking for Interns. Students may choose to pursue the Leadership tract or the Specialty tract. If they choose the Specialty tract, they must then choose an area of specialty (Film/Video, Graphic/Print Design, Editorial/Writing, Journalism/Public Relations, Social Media, Marketing, and Web Design). We hope to attract students with interest and skill in their specific area who want to see and work inside a large church organization for a short period of time.

The length of this internship is flexible according to the availability of the student (anywhere from 2-6 months) with time allowance for vacations or other necessary breaks. The internship is in Lake Forest, CA, and students would need to live locally.

San Diego Asian Film Festival Call for Entries

The San Diego Asian Film Festival is competitive, seeking entries in the following categories: narrative feature, narrative short, documentary feature, documentary short, and animation. An independent jury selects winners in each category, along with the Grand Jury award, which are announced at the Festival’s Gala Awards Night on Saturday, October 23, 2010. Festival programmers also select a first-time filmmaker to receive the George C. Lin Emerging Filmmaker Award, which is accompanied by a $1,000 prize.

Films/videos submitted must be directed or principally acted by an artist of Asian or Pacific Islander descent; or whose subject matter relates to Asian or Pacific Islander culture.

· Early Deadline: April 30, 2010 ($25 Submission Fee)

· Late Deadline: June 11, 2010 ($40 Submission Fee)

The 11^th San Diego Asian Film Festival is schedule for October 21-28, 2010 at the Mission Valley UltraStar Cinemas at Hazard Center. 16th Annual Student Film Awards for DGA

Directors Guild of America (DGA) announces its 16th Annual Student Film Awards for African-American, Asian-American, Latino, and Women Directors. They are extending an invitation to submit your films shot within the last school year (September 2009-August 2010) in the drama, comedy or documentary categories.

Submission deadline is 6pm on Monday, October 4, 2010.

Winners in each group receive $2,500 prize from the DGA at their annual student award ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York.
