FESTIVAL AMENITIES FOR FILMMAKERS: Amenities vary based on the level of notoriety that the film has garnered before the festival begins, as well as if anyone involved has been previously successful at the festival, or elsewhere in the industry. Some more famous guests, such as Spike Lee, will have everything provided for them. Those completely unknown, such as the director of a High School Short, will have to pay their own way to and around the festival.

LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS: MIFF partners with two key groups in order to help promote the festival itself as well as all the films submitted. The first of these is the Miami Film Society, which is the group the puts on the film festival. The second partner is Miami Dade College, who provides volunteers to the festival, one of the venues (Tower Theater), as well as student submissions to the Reel Education contest.
